From the 20th to the 24th of May, the best of Catalan design participated in the New York design week, NYCxDesign, under the name “Inspired in Barcelona: Lifestyle”. This expo was promoted by the promotion department of Barcelona’s City Council and organised by the BCD Barcelona Centre Disseny, which promoted this design inspired by Barcelona.
A total of 21 products starred in two of the world’s most important fairs, WantedDesign Manhattan (from the 20th to the 23rd of May) and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) (from the 21st to the 24th of May). The occupation of the Poblenou warehouses, El Raval workshops, the shops of the Gothic Quarter and the Eixample apartments were shown in the spaces created.
The chosen model was an armchair with armrests that will soon be available to buy. Following the elegant style of the collection, the new product is modern and versatile, ideal to be integrated into any space. Noem is a line of furniture the simplicity, intuition and transparency of which stand out.
Nutcreatives is a production and innovation design studio that works under environmental and CSR parameters within varied sectors like furniture, urban furniture, lighting and packaging. It has a multidisciplinary team made up of Alex Jiménez, Jon Marín and Bernat Faura.
The expo encouraged the international creative community to present innovative installations and spatial products, as is the case with the new Noem armchair. The more conceptual side showed a selection of talent from the habitat sector inspired by the values and Barcelona lifestyle attitude.
